ABOUT GOURMET WHEATGRASS
Gourmet Wheatgrass is a container grower of Wheatgrass located in rural Putnam County, N.Y. The growing takes place indoors during the Winter, and outdoors in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. All of our plants are grown in non toxic, plant derived containers. Our growing containers are unique compared to what is generally used in the production of wheatgrass. In addition to being non plastic and 100% food safe, they are designed to provide a deeper soil depth and a larger volume of soil, relative to the number of plants per cubic inch of growing media. Higher soil depth and volume enables the wheatgrass to grow for a longer period of time, and maintain a healthy vibrant state, while it is maturing towards the jointing stage of growth. This when the grass has the highest nutritional value.
Gourmet Wheatgrass also provides pre packaged growing container kits that simplify the growing process, and provide the convenience of just adding water. We also custom make deep soil growing flats with wood sides and metal mesh bottoms that is called the Field Flat.
Gourmet Wheatgrass provides live greens that has a much higher nutritional value and yield when compared to the traditional growing methods used by growers who utilize the common shallow plastic nursery flat, or by the hydroponic growing method. The name "Gourmet Wheatgrass" was chosen as our dba because we wanted our customers to mindfully associate GourmetWheatgrass.com as being one of the few, if not the only, provider of truly pure, high quality nutritionally peak wheatgrass.
